I understand why the issue of Taiwan wasn't raised -- but I think that's probably the MOST live question for policymakers outside of mainland China. How, if at all, do NATO attitudes toward Ukraine inflect how Beijing thinks about the Taiwan issue? I understand why it wasn't raised; but a shame.
I'll very likely as Lü Xiaoyu back onto the show in the near future and will certainly ask him about Taiwan. This was too many people, and few of them were familiar enough with Chinese policymakers in China to have been able to answer the question you raise — how the progress of the Ukraine War has (or hasn't) impacted Beijing's thinking on Taiwan. But Lü certainly would have had much to say on this.
